A power transformer is the most costly and essential equipment of an electrical transformer. So for getting high performance and long functional life of the transformer, it is desired to perform various maintenance activities. Not only that, but a power transformer also requires various maintenance actions including measurement and testing of different parameters of the transformer. There are mainly two types of maintenance of transformer. We perform one group is in a routine basis, and the second group is as when required.

That means for getting smooth performance from a transformer we have to perform some maintenance actions on regular basis. Some other types of maintenance of transformer we perform as when they are required. But if one performs regular maintenance properly, he may not have any provision of performing emergency maintenance. The regular checking and maintenance of the transformer are also known as condition maintenance.

Hence by proper condition maintenance, one can avoid emergency and breakdown maintenance. That is why one technical personnel should mainly concentrate on-condition maintenance. As 100% condition maintenance causes 0% breakdown of equipment. There are many different maintenance actions, to be performed on a power transformer. Some of them are on a yearly basis, some of them are on a monthly basis, some others are quarterly, some are on a half-yearly basis. These are mainly transformer maintenance actions, which are to be performed in 3 to 4 years intervals.

Kalibrasi Vanguard CT-7000: Digital Circuit Breaker Analyzer

The Vanguard CT-7000: Digital Circuit Breaker Analyzer is a microprocessor-based, digital time travel, circuit breaker analyzer. The CT7000 can fully analyze a utility circuit breaker’s performance by measuring: the contact time, stroke, velocity, over-travel, bounce-back and contact wipe.
The contact motion analysis includes: Open, Close, Open-Close, Close-Open and OpenClose-Open operations. A timing window is selectable between one second, ten second and
twenty second periods. The ten and twenty second windows allow timing of long events such as
circuit switcher contacts.

Kalibrasi Vanguard CT-7000: Digital Circuit Breaker Analyzer

The CT-7000 applies a test voltage of 35 Vdc to each of the contact channels thus allowing an
analog-to-digital converter (A/D) to determine if a close, an open or an insertion resistor was the
state of contact. The CT-7000 records into the memory 10,000 readings from the A/Ds and the
transducer position counters. The contact time, circuit breaker stroke and velocity is then derived
from the data that was stored in the memory.
The CT-7000 uses an up-down counter to sense the breaker’s transducer reading. The CT7000 travel transducer employs optical encoders to send quadrature signals to the CT-7000’s
counters. With the use of digital transducers and counters, the need to set up or calibrate the
transducers is eliminated.
A built-in, initiate circuit allows the user to operate the circuit breakers. Since the solid-state
circuit is controlled by a microprocessor, the CT-7000 can perform multiple contact operations
with ease. The initiate circuit is fuse protected for trip and close operations. The user is required
to hold the “ARM” switch during a test to complete the initiate circuit as a safety feature

The CT-7000 Series 2 is a third generation, stand-alone, microcomputer-driven EHV Circuit-Breaker Analyzer. It is inexpensive and easy to use. The CT-7000 is available in models with 3 dry contacts (CT7000-3), 6 dry contacts (CT-7000-6), or 12 dry-contact inputs (CT-7000-12). The CT-7000 fully analyzes circuit-breaker performance: contact time, stroke, velocity, over-travel, and contact wipe. Contact-motion analysis includes: Open, Close, Open-Close, Close-Open, and Open-Close-Open. The CT-7000 timing window is selectable: 1-second, 10-second, or 20-second periods. The 10-second and 20-second timing windows allow timing of long duration events (Circuit-Switcher contacts).

Combined with the Omicron CPC 100 Multi-Functional Primary Test System, the Omicron CP TD1 Capacitance/Dissipation Factor Testing Device (Tan Delta) measures the capacitance and dissipation factor (power factor) with laboratory precision. 

This allows the insulation condition of transformers, generators and other parts of high-voltage systems to be tested according to IEEE 62 (C57.152), IEC 60076-1 and -3, as well as the CIGRE “Guide for Transformer Maintenance”. As recommended in the CIGRE Guide, testing is performed at variable frequencies to better diagnose signs of aging in insulation.

Setiap peralatan listrik yang beroperasi pastilah mengalami stres terhadap faktor tegangan operasi, vibrasi, temperatur, kotoran dan lain sebagainya. Semua faktor tersebut akan menyebabkan penurunan ketahanan isolasi peralatan listrik secara terus menerus. Untuk mengetahui kondisi ketahanan isolasi tersebut perlu dilakukan jasa pengukuran tan delta

Dalam sebuah jaringan sistim tenaga listrik yang komplek, penurunan atau penuaan tahanan isolasi peralatan listrik merupakan suatu masalah serius yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian yang besar seperti kerusakan transformator, meledaknya Circuit Breaker dll.
Untuk menghindari breakdown peralatan yang tidak terduga dan kestabilan distribusi power sangatlah penting untuk mengetahui kondisi isolasi peraltan tersebut dan memonitor secra berkala untuk mendapatkan degradasi ketahanan isolasi.

Dengan data ini, dapat ditentukan kapan dilakukan pemeliharaan, penggantian peralatan tersebut secara terencana, sehingga kerusakan secara tidak terduga dapat ditekan. Hal inipun menjamin keamanan dan kestabilan supplay listrik.
